The Community Impact Roadmap

This document drives all of the grants, collaborations, and initiatives the United Way of Central New York takes on. The Impact Roadmap was created with extensive input from local community members and human service professionals with a broad set of experience and knowledge about the human service ecosystem in our local community, as well as the most pressing needs being faced by community members. See the Community Impact Roadmap here.

Scope of Impact

This year, at least one in four people in Onondaga County will benefit from a United Way of Central New York funded program. It’s more than likely that a friend, a classmate, a co-worker, a neighbor – or possibly even you – have been assisted by the funding United Way provides to local agencies. You may not always recognize our impact, but it’s being felt locally, right here in Central New York, every single day.

Federal Funds Made Available through DHS/FEMA

In addition to making grants, creating collaborative enterprises, and being the home of several community-wide initiatives, the United Way of Central New York Chairs the Local Board that allocates and oversees the utilization of funds made available through the Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP).
