Crochet-A-Thon (POSTPONED TO 1/11)

POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER

Please join us next Saturday 1/11

Syracuse’s Off The Hook Crochet Club will hold a 12-hour Crochet-A-Thon on Saturday January 4, 2025 in the Community Room at the Salt City Market from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. More than 30 hookers (i.e. crocheters), led by artist Jaleel Campbell, are expected to take part in the event with the goal of creating over 100 winter hats for donation to the MLK Day of Service.

More volunteers are welcome! Needles, yarn and pattern will be available, but participants are welcome to bring their own. Learn more about the event and RSVP on Off The Hook Crochet Club’s facebook page. Visit the facebook event page to register

Jaleel and Off The Hook Crochet Club members will deliver the winter hats to the 23rd Annual MLK Day of Service, presented by United Way of CNY and the Greater Syracuse Labor Council / sponsored by Micron, on Monday January 20th at Nottingham High School.

Want to support the effort, without a needle and yarn? Donate new and gently used winter clothing items to United Way of CNY’s Share The Warmth Drive. Check out our complete list of participating COR Development retail locations, as well One Group and Community Bank branches. All Share The Warmth Drive donations will be distributed to local men, women and children in need through United Way’s network of nonprofit agency partners on MLK Day.
