The CNY Care Package Project

During these uncertain times, our basic human needs have been clearly defined and our community’s most vulnerable individuals are now more vulnerable than ever before. Although our community’s needs are great, your gift does not have to be.

Through November 20, 2020, United Way of Central New York is collecting personal care items that will be given to families and individuals in need.

Click above to learn why Mary Beth Frey, Executive Director of the Samaritan Center believes, “It’s that dollar, it’s the pair of socks, it’s the bottle of shampoo, that changes someone’s life.” These items, no matter how big or small, can make a tremendous difference in the lives of every man, woman, and child who is struggling to thrive in our community.

Suggested items for donation include Soap, Body Wash, Shampoo, Toothpaste, Toothbrush, Floss, Deodorant, Lotion, Lip Balm, Hand Sanitizer, Tissues, Combs + Brushes, gloves, winter hats, and socks. New, unused items only, please.

We are offering 3 easy ways to get involved this year: workplace drives, drop-off at United Way of Central New York, or “order and ship direct” via Amazon.
