Crochet-A-Thon

Join Syracuse’s Off the Hook Crochet Club for a 12-hour Crochet-A-Thon at Salt City Market on Saturday November 22, 2025 from 9am to 9pm.

More than 30 volunteer “hookers” (i.e. crocheters), led by artist Jaleel Campbell, are expected to take part in the event with the goal of creating over 200 winter hats for donation to United Way of Central New York’s Share the Warmth Drive.

Learn more about Jaleel’s support of United Way and the Crochet-A-Thon here.

More volunteers are welcome! Needles, yarn and pattern will be available. Participants are also welcome to bring their own.

Want to support the effort, without a needle and yarn? Donate new and gently used winter clothing items to United Way of CNY’s Share The Warmth Drive. All Share The Warmth Drive donations will be distributed directly to local human service agencies through the MLK Day of Service event on January 19, 2026.
