This annual event is presented by the Greater Syracuse Labor Council AFL-CIO and United Way of Central New York.
UWCNY program proposal assessment training is now underway for community volunteers. These dedicated community members pictured below along with other volunteer panels will review local agency funding applications submitted to United Way of CNY for the 2014-17 funding period. 45 local human service agencies have submitted 120 program proposals totaling over $9.5 million in requests, which is over twice the amount that United Way of CNY currently funds. Ten new agencies making requests this cycle include proposals from The Alzheimer’s Association and The Rescue Mission. The volunteers will review each program proposal and make recommendations for funding.
